A Milk Run
Prior to the completion of the war in the pacific, Frank Montagna participated in a tour overseas. Two weeks prior to the end of hostilities in the Pacific the USS Marquette, an attack cargo ship, departed the east coast for Pearl Harbor. Frank was a crewmember on the Marquette during the milk run cruise. This action resulted in Frank being awarded the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal.
